Coronavirus information

Batford Nursery School has remained open throughout the pandemic, serving families of key workers during lockdown, re-opening for some children in 'bubbles' in June and July and returning to full operation in the autumn term.

We are committed to providing as safe an environment as possible for the children and also for our staff and are constantly reviewing our practice as new guidance emerges and in response to feedback from parents and others.  The nursery's timetable does not lend itself to the staggered starts and finishes that you may see in primary schools and the freeflow play that is essential for early years development means that the whole of the nursery is operating as a single group.  Whilst adults are enforcing social distancing between each other and limiting the physical contact they have with children, there is no expectation for the children to stay apart and you can be sure that our staff will not hesitate to use touch where physical reassurance is needed.

Batford Nursery's Remote Learning Offer

Where children are unable to attend school during the coronavirus pandemic, we will offer remote learning opportunities and support for you and your child.
